Right trying to get a bike insurance quote of them:

Right trying to get a bike insurance quote of them:

Riding History

Type of motorcycle licence* Full.
Period licence held for* 4 years
Years continuously insured as a rider* 5years

Period Licence Held
Please enter in years how long you have held your driving licence, selecting the number of FULL YEARS e.g. 2 years and 11 months would be counted as 2 years. If you have not yet had your licence for 1 complete year, select less than 1 year (< 1 year). If you have had your licence for less than a year, you will next be asked to supply the date you received the licence.

Years Continuously Insured As Rider
How many full years have you continuously held a bike insurance policy? Continuous means not having a break from a policy for no longer than 2 months.

Bike Cover
Any no claims discount* 5years

No Claims Discount
Every year you hold a policy in your own name without making a claim, you build up a no claims discount, which may save you money.

If you do not know your no claims discount (NCD), you should make a best guess, as this can always be changed before you purchase your policy.

Proof of No Claims Discount (NCD) may be required.

N.B. NCD can only be used on one policy at any one time. The expiry date or renewal date must not be more than 24 months before the commencement of cover for the vehicle with us.

result!

Please correct the following:
(see highlighted items)
# NO CLAIMS DISCOUNT - Not held licence long enough to build up this number of years of No Claims Discount. Please check your years of No Claims Discount or date you obtained your licence.

Thought I would try out the market as the sachs restoration was finished at last, so took it for MOT and passed no prob, I put it on Gumtree at £1,150, link,

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-m...egal/102094408

It was really just to see what it would make, as I was going to use it myself. I had 6 calls the first day it went on sale, 3 people made app's to view it that day and the first 2 made offers of £1050 and £1,100 which I refused, as I had a lot of interest on it in just the first day I was going to take it off Gumtree as it seemed I could get more for it than £1,150, and I was in no hurry to sell it.

The third person came that same day as arranged, I told him I was going to take it off sale as I was thinking of keeping it to use myself, he straight away offered £1,200 and would leave a £50 non returnable deposit and the balance payable when he picks it up, which is today :sc: as they say an offer I could not refuse as it only cost me £500 when I bought it, before restoring it at a total cost of about £200 inc, the new MOT, so it only owed me £700.

Next step, is to put the AJS 125 up for sale as it passed it's first MOT today, another restoration project that I have been doing, only has 1,800 miles on it and not used since the last tax ran out in Aug, 2010.

So it would seem the XTC is in demand if done up the right way and looking the part,
I will now look for another xtc project :ride:

Last summer i bought a crashed XTC. it was chrashed in 2003, and since then it has been switching owners. none of them had the time to try to fix it, so it was in a rather shabby condition when i got it. (the guy i bought it from was just happy to get it out of his garage so i paid no more than 350$ for it :D)

Luckily most of the "vital organs" were unharmed. ;) however the fairings were broken and since im no huge fan of the xtc's front i thougt id make a streetfighter. :D
I pictured it matte black with an orange frame .. a bit like a KTM Duke :P

after working through the winter this is the result :D not entirely finished, as you can probably se that there is no chain and that the radiator tubes dont exist :/
